Cadets receive CPR/AED, Basic First Aid, and FF 1A equivalent training
Specialists are Water Rescue Team Members. They have advanced Tech Rescue Training.
Our Department has a core membership of 30 Firefighter some of which also functions as First Responders. The department also has several specialized members as well. These specialized members are Water Rescue specific members, First Responder specific members and Cadets, which are a part of a program for students 13-18 years of age.
Personnel
It is mandatory for our members to obtain State Firefighter 1A Certification and National Registry First Responder Level. Higher education is greatly encouraged and paid for by the department with the aid of multiple grants.
