Our numbers have increased substantially  due to adding First Response services but if you look at the numbers minus the First Response calls total “fire” runs have also increased in our district.

As you can see, our runs are steadily increasing.  On average, 16% of our calls per year are working fires. We run approximately 80 "structure fire" calls per year, but most of them end up being food on the stove or false calls.

We started EMS First Response in 2002.  This was not a full year of first response and there weren't nearly as many calls in 2002 as we have now.  Since the switch over to first response, some of our service calls (i.e. lifting assistance) are now being classified as EMS calls.
